UWL Workshop: Care Hours Per Patient Day (CHPPD) Methods for safer staffing for acute and long-stay wards

Wednesday, 22 June, 2016

University of West London are having a Safer Staffing Workshop on 13 Sept 2016 at their Brentford Campus, University of West London, Paragon House Boston Manor Road, Brentford, Middlesex, TW8 9GA

This workshop is relevant for staff working in general, mental health and learning disability acute and long stay wards. It is not suitable for community workforce planning

Following the Carter Review recommendations for assessing and measuring staffing variation, new metrics for assessing safer staffing have been established. These metrics enable benchmarking and comparisons utilising Care Hours per Patient Day (CHPPD).  At the workshop you will have opportunity to review the transition from SNCT FTE-based multipliers to CHPPD and to benchmark your ward CHPPD against 'best-practice' sites.

The fee for the workshop is  £250  and includes a copy of the latest datasets,  supporting materials and refreshments
