SNAP: Numeracy Assessment and Education

Thursday, 28 November, 2013

The Standardised Numeracy Assessment Process (SNAP) tool is a freely accessible web-based e-learning resource that was designed to assess and improve the confidence and competence of new and existing students and healthcare employees when dealing with numeracy and drug calculations. In April 2012 the SNAP team submitted a good practice case study to eWIN which captured the key outcomes and challenges faced by the project to date, as well as background information around how and why SNAP was developed. However with use of the tool expanding, leading to greater benefits for educational organisations, NHS trusts and existing staff, this overview has been developed to capture these new outcomes.
