North West Workforce Planning 2014/15 to 2018/2019

Health Education North West is responsible for the education, training and continuing personal development (CPD) of every member of NHS staff, and recruiting for values in the North West. With a budget of around 718 million per annum we contract with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to train the new and develop the existing medical, general practice, non-medical and wider workforce utilising intelligence, strategy, planning, commissioning and transformation to support delivery of our vision, business plan and priorities through our mandate with the Department of Health (DH).As HENW embark on this years annual planning process we look forward to building on the successes of last year, particularly in relation to the sharing of workforce information at the Local Workforce Education Groups (LWEGs) and Local Education Training Board (LETB) and the feedback ascertained. As ever, provider contributions to identifying the future workforce demands and supply needs to inform commissioning and investment plan decisions of Health Education North West (HENW) is crucial.The key elements of our annual process are available to download on this page.
